Many people
like to study while listening to music, watching television or listening to the
radio. But according to some research, study while listening to music is not
good for your brain. Recent research shows that the habit of students who like
to listen to music when studying brings negative effect on the brain. Studying
while listening to music, is not appropriate, because the background music can
affect the brain’s ability to perform tasks related to memory, which in turn
also affects concentration.
However,
there are also many people feel that by listening to some music while studying
can increase their concentration. They say study while listening to some music
will give them comfortable condition and make them easier to concentrate on
what they are studying.
In my
opinion, the effectiveness of study while listening to music is depends on the
people itself. The key question to ask yourself would be "Am I spending
more time listening to the music than I am spending on my studies?" If the
answer is yes, then you need to cut the music down or turn it off altogether.
If you ask me is it effective to study while listening to music? My answer
would be no, because according to my experience it is easier for me to
concentrate when it is quiet than when there are some music that being played
